The MOST Common Arc Program conducts mass weld qualifications

throughout the country with each welder obtaining six-month certification from contractors and in some instances, the owner community.

Established in 1988 to eliminate the redundant testing on job sites, the MOST Common Arc Program has eliminated welder test redundancies and improved efficiencies by creating a central location of welder certifications. These benefits have resulted in an average cost savings of 95% annually and have eliminated costs previously paid by the contractor and owner ensuring an efficient and rapid return to operation.

The Brotherhood, in conjunction with NACBE, created Common Arc as a separate corporation to eliminate test redundancies.
